Nohlanga was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court in 1998. In 1999 she joined the Law Society of South Africa as a Manager for the School for Legal Practice in Pretoria. She was a founding partner at Silwana Gqwede Attorneys specializing in Company secretarial services and statutory compliance, Establishment of business enterprise, Corporate Governance and Corporate Law since 2002. In 2005 she re-joined the Law Society of South Africa as a Director, heading and managing the Johannesburg School for Legal Practice. She began her career in Corporate Governance in 2007 and has gained extensive experience in Corporate Governance, Legal, Compliance, Risk and Ethics Management.
Nohlanga has served in several leadership roles including serving as the Chairperson of the Standards Generating Body for Legal Training for the South African Qualifications Authority; a member of the Board of Trustees of the Black Lawyers Association Legal Education Centre; Director of the Bheki Mlangeni Foundation and currently a Trustee of Ikamvelihle Development Trust.
In her other professional involvement, she lectured part-time on Legal Ethics and on Business Management of a Law Firm and has also presented at seminars and conferences on legal, compliance and governance matters. Nohlanga is very passionate about governance, ethics, and justice and equality for all in every aspect.
